9th Annual 300 Plates Fundraiser & Exhibition

Art Access has 102 established and emerging Utah artists participating this year, 21 of whom are first timers to 300 Plates. Each artist has created work on an 11- by 10-inch recycled metal printer’s plate in his or her recognizable style.

Proceeds from the annual 300 Plates fundraiser and exhibition allow Art Access to provide accessible and inclusive arts and cultural programming to many people who might not otherwise have the opportunity to participate, as well as equal opportunity for established and emerging artists to show their work in a nurturing and supportive environment.

Two-Person Exhibition at Bonner David Galleries

American Art Collector
I'm featured in the April issue of American Art Collector magazine, including a review of my April, 2010 show at Bonner David Galleries.

"Two extremely talented artists, Nate Ronniger and Lu Cong join forces to present stunningly realistic imagery and faces that are sure to captivate all viewers. Focusing on colors, patterns, and form Nate Ronniger creates theatrical sets, often folding intriguing sheets of paper, and then paints from real life. Full of imagination and a bit of humor Ronniger’s pieces completely rethink the notion of a still life painting. Lu Cong, named as one of five “Today’s Masters Making Their Marks” conveys hauntingly realistic faces highlighted with a dramatic sense of lighting. These evocative portraits become ingrained in one’s consciousness preoccupying the psyche with beauty and grace."

Netdiver Magazine

Netdiver is a Design anywhere + digital culture magazine that uncovers, reviews and publishes outstanding work by the international community involved in the industry and beyond. They recently stumbled upon my artwork and were kind enough to include me in their online magazine.

This cutie ain't a photograph nor a toy but in fact, it is a painting executed by Nate Ronniger who makes it his modus vivendi to use familiar toys, intricately texturized paper folding and paint them in storytelling ways. Execution is stellar!
